Before Sam started back into full-time work (yay for work!) we had a day out at Dream World with the boys. It was pretty fun. Jackson won’t go on any rides, except driving the cars, but Owen likes them!

Jackson’s 1st day!
Jackson started Kindy, or preschool this year. He was so excited to go, I was a bit nervous. He’s always been so shy, especially with unfamiliar adults. But he loves it. He’s gone all day on Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Owen misses him, but hopefully we’ll have fun together.

Christmas 2011
Christmas started off a bit rough. I woke up at about 3:40am and we realized that Owen was downstairs. We ran down to find he had opened most of the presents. I was pretty upset. After a few tears from both me and Owen, we got everything re-wrapped and ready to go. From there, things were great. We got to talk to skype with my family, and spent the rest of the day with Sam’s family. It was wonderful.

Showing off their Spiderman poses, ready to open presents.
The mess at Grandma’s. I love it!
The whole family
Plyaing on the Slip n’ Slide and hiding in the shells. It entertained them all day!
September – December
Here’s a quick photo catch up.
Owen got a bed. He was very excited. So was Jackson.
Once again, Amy provided a pumpkin. We love you Amy!
Jackson was playing on some shelves, and the shelf above him fell somehow. It landed just right and pulled off his entire fingernail. It was pretty traumatic, but he survived. The dr. didn’t think it would grow back, but it has now and looks perfectly normal! This photo was about a week or 2 later.
Thanksgiving! We have 2 American missionaries, so we got to have them over for a proper Thanksgiving, along with some of Sam’s family. It was a lot of work, but well worth the effort.
Decorating the Christmas tree. Silly boys.
Swimming with the cousins at Southbank.

Jackson is 4!
For a long time, Jackson really didn’t want to turn 4. I never figured out why, but he would get really upset whenever we talked about it. He didn’t want a party, a cake, presents, nothing. Just didn’t want to be 4. Luckily he got over it.
Jackson had an awesome Spiderman party this year. He was so excitedL Luckily it all turned out really well. The kids each got a can of silly string and got to chase “web” Green Goblin, Venom, and Doc Ock, which everyone loved. Figuring out what to do for the cake was pretty stressful, but in the end it was very simple and Jackson loved it. Hooray! It was a great party! I was so happy when it was over though, and probably could’ve gone to bed by 6 pm that night. I’m so glad there a whole year before I have to do it again!
Jackson is a gorgeous boy. He is a real thinker and is very careful about things. He’s almost always humming or singing, usually a superhero theme song. He’s very smart and asks questions I sometimes don’t know how to answer. He loves Owen (most of the time) and is a great big brother. One of my favorite things is that he often translates for me what Owen is saying. I don’t know how he understands him all the time. It's very cute. He’s a very good boy and is my big helper. I love him so much. I can’t believe he’s getting so grown up.
