I not only allowed this to happen multiple times, but I laughed at it and asked Jackson to do it again so I could get photos. Jackson made Owen into a turtle. Hee hee. I’m still laughing. (Owen wasn’t a fan.)

Things
Here are some photos of some of the things we’ve been up to. And my completely adorable boys.
Nan was here from Sydney over Mother’s Day so we took her and Sue out for dinner. And then we realized we didn’t have a photo of Nan with the kids so we tried to get one. Unfortunately Owen was too wiggly to hold for long .
Jackson all tuckered out and Owen ready to cheer on Queensland for State of Origin. Go Maroons!
Sam and I went to a costume party for a friend’s birthday. These were our last minute costumes, we went as our evil twins, Tatiana and Schlomo.

It’s happening
I guess that I’m getting old. Almost everyday some situation arises that makes me think to myself, “I am becoming my mother.” It really does happen all the time. Here are a few examples:
- I often find myself wanting to throw something at Sam when he’s being cheeky.
- I get cold easily. I really hate this one cause we make fun of my mum for this a lot.
- I jump while Sam is driving.
- I get a bit obsessive sometimes when I clean, although I am no where near my mum on this one.
- I want to have ice cream or milkshakes for dinner.
- Lately I always forget my phone when I go out.
Okay, so that’s all I can think of right now, but it really does happen a lot. One time Sam came in and I was on my knees cleaning the floor and Sam said, “Hello Linda.” Resulting in me wanting to throw something at him.
But then I realized it’s okay to be like my mom. I really like her. As much as we tease her and laugh at her, I can’t think of anyone I’d rather grow up to be like. Hopefully though I can pick up a few of her good traits to go along with all these annoying ones that I seemed to have inherited. Love you Mom! (And she’s an awesome Nana too!)

Roma St Parklands
Last Monday was a holiday. (The Monday before that was too, so we got two 3 day weekends in a row. So cool. But that’s not what this is about.) We started the day at the park with some friends and their 2 boys. We had delicious pancakes and the kids had a great time playing. Then in the afternoon we went into the city to check out a new park that we’d heard about. It is one of our new favorite places. I still can’t believe that I’ve somehow missed out on this place until now. It was beautiful with gardens, playgrounds, lake, bbqs, and large grassy areas for playing. Loved it. Can’t wait to go back for a picnic or something.
